The Practi-Insulin Pen Trainer is a 3mL (100 units/mL) pen that simulates a disposable insulin pen with a dose selection dial and a total liquid fill of 300 units. The simulation tool provides learners with a secure opportunity to practice the accurate technique of administering medication using a pre-loaded insulin auto-injector system. The trainer is needle-free but designed to be compatible with the majority of standard insulin pen needles. It also does does not contain any medication but distilled water.
This is an essential tool for teaching and learning diabetes management. It is very advantageos for understanding and practicig insulin self-administration using a manikin as it would never be used on human or animal.
The pen trainer is adjustable from 0-60 units with a calibration window for precise dose verification.
